Innocence or Temptation
Innocence or Temptation, which used to be called Angel or Devil, is a fixed 20 line slot from Playtech, with an optional progressive jackpot of up to £100,000, that offers an unusual player experience in that you can choose your own volatility. There is a slider above the reels which you alter according to whether you want to win more wins or bigger wins. Setting the slider towards the innocence-themed side results in more frequent bonuses whilst setting the slider towards the temptation-themed side results in less frequent, but bigger paying, bonuses. Other special features of this slot include an interesting free spins round and a random cash eruption from a lightning strike to the middle reel.
The free spins round is triggered by 3 or more AD symbols appearing anywhere on reels 2, 3 and 4. Five free spins are initially awarded. After each free spin you pick a card to reveal one of four bonuses. These are win multipliers, random cash prizes, extra wild symbols and free spin extensions.
There are, in addition, two super cards that once activated stay active until the free spins end. These are the Devil card, which turns all 10 and J symbols in view into Bar symbols, and the Angel card, which turns all 10 and J symbols in view into A symbols.
This game has been around for a while but only appeared widely in Playtech casinos in Spring 2014, probably in response to the appearance of the Betsoft slot Good Girl, Bad Girl which has a similar theme and also allows the player to set volatility. The name change happened later in 2014.
